Abundant Blessing

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.  2 Corinthians 2:9

I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.  John 17:13

I believe the Lord wants us to have a full, crazy, awesome, spectacular life.  I believe he has planned for it and prepared for it.  I think we are the ones that get in the way of the many, many blessings He has intended for us.  So my question: how can I make sure that I am living in God’s will, obeying His commands and desires for my life and listening to His guidance so that I can be fully open and ready for everything He has planned for me?

It seems like I find myself too often believing that I have to beg God for good things for my life.  As if I have to convince him that I am alive and that my life shouldn’t always be so dumpy and hard.  Ha!  How twisted my thoughts can become.  That is so the opposite of who God is and how God works.

{He wants us to overflow with his love and joy and hope.}

So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

{He not only knows we exist, he created us and knows everything about us.}

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14

And even the hairs on your head are numbered.  Matthew 10:30

{He wants us to have a full life, full of blessings}

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  John 10:10

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace which he has freely given us in the One he loves.  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.  Ephesians 1: 3-8

Did you see that?

He has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing!

He chose us.

He made us HOLY and BLAMELESS.

He adopted us as His.

All this for HIS pleasure.

He FREELY gives us His LOVE and GRACE.

We are redeemed, made new, purified, cleaned!  Forgiven, our sins forgotten.

He LAVISHES gifts on us!

yes please!  Thank you Lord for your abundance!!
